The Advent Season is upon us. My prayer for you this Christmas is that you not get swallowed up in the swirl of commercialism and instead realize what we are truly celebrating – the babe born in Bethlehem. We celebrate the gift of God to our world. In the act of the Incarnation, God became man and dwelt among us. He took on our very flesh and became just as cold in the winter as we are, just as hungry, and just as thirsty. He was exactly like us in all things but sin. He gave us the best gift of all – His very self on the cross – so that we could have eternal life.
I wish a Blessed Christmas to each and every one of you. And on the day when we celebrate the birth of the King of Kings, remember that our celebrations are to honor Him – not the gifts under the tree.
Yours in Christ,
Father Ken
