Principal - Mrs. Harner

Patty Harner is a former student and high school graduate of St. Brigid School. From the University of Dayton she has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education, a Masters in Theological Studies, and a Masters in Educational Administration. From the Archdiocese of Cincinnati she has met all course work requirements to be a Catechetical Leader and has a current certificate which allows her to teach theology classes for teacher catechists to enable them to be certified religion teachers.

Her classroom teaching experience has been in three Archdiocese of Cincinnati schools: St. Dominic in Cincinnati, St. Helen’s in Dayton, and at St. Brigid. She has taught all subjects in grades 4-6 and language arts in grades 7-8 and has substituting experiences in grades K-8.

Mrs. Harner is a member of the Catholic Education Collaborative and serves on the professional development committee. She is participating in the three-year St. Remy Initiative which is a professional development program for teachers and principals in Catholic schools in the Dayton area under the sponsorship of the University of Dayton. Year I (2007-08) focused on Catholic School Identity; Year II (2008-09) centered on Differentiated Learning; and Year III (2009-10) will concentrate on Managerial Leadership.

Providing a quality Catholic education for every St. Brigid School student is her top priority. St. Brigid School played a very important role in her life; the academic education and faith development that she received and the moral and spiritual values that were imparted to her are gifts that she shall always treasure. In her role as principal, she hopes to be instrumental in passing on to the students those same gifts that she was given during her years as a student at St. Brigid Grade and High School.....a love of our Catholic faith and a quest for learning.
